Greetings MAS Families,
We hope that you are enjoying the summer! Each year, if you are new to MAS, we host a Meet and Greet event to share important information about our upcoming school year. This event includes details regarding our first day of school and changes from last year to this year. The event is an opportunity for you and your child to meet their teachers and for us to distribute uniform shirts so that your child is in uniform on the first day of school. New AND returning families are encouraged to attend this event. Parent participation is key to student success. Also, we are happy to announce that Meet & Greet is IN PERSON this year and ALL student instruction is 100% in person this year. We are so excited to welcome students and families back to our school!
The dates for our 2021-2022 Meet and Greet will be:
Tuesday, July 27th for elementary school students in GRADES K-4
Wednesday, July 28th for middle school students GRADES 5-8
Thursday, July 29th for high school students GRADES 9-12.
The event will begin at 6 pm and will be held at the campus your child attends. Therefore, if you are attending the Yale campus, the event will be in our Yale gym, and if your child attends the Old Coors campus, the event will be held in the Old Coors gym.
It is very important that you attend on your child's scheduled date as the information that will be shared is specific to the grade level your child is in, and your child's teachers will ONLY be present on their designated evening. The event begins at 6 pm and will end at 8 pm, and we will distribute school uniforms at this event. Parking for the Yale event is in the parking lots located on Yale Boulevard, and parking for the Old Coors event is in the parking area located off of San Ygnacio.
If, for any reason, you are receiving this message and your child will no longer be attending MAS Charter School for the upcoming school year, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible so that we can offer your child's seat to a student on our growing waitlist. Also, it's not too late to apply; we still have minimal seats at our Old Coors campus.
In closing, we are very excited about the upcoming school year and we have a lot of exciting information to share with you! Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We have attached pictures of our NEW Old Coors building coming in the 2022-2023 school year, as well as a great video that celebrates MAS and the excellent education we strive to provide. We encourage you to share both the pictures and the video on social media to celebrate your child and our school community!
